Artisan Builder & Company was founded in April, 1989 by owner and President Dawn McKenna, and was incorporated in November, 1989.  Our idea was to build a remodeling company that would be totally customer-focused with unique designs using high-quality products and professional subcontractors to bring your dream home to reality.  Our growth is based on the strength of referrals from current and previous customers.

Dawn became a Certified Kitchen (CKD) and Bath (CBD) Designer in 1996 through the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA).  The certification process required extensive preparation and testing.  Designers are also required to take a minimum of ten hours of continuing education every two years to maintain their certification.
